Our Top Date Spots in the Capital Region

By popular demand, we are listing some our favorite date spots in the Capital Region from Schenectady to Albany to Troy!

  • Wolf Hollow Brewing Company, Glenville, New York

Love nature and craft beers? Wolf Hollow in Glenville offers fantastic beers in a beautiful setting. Enjoy a brew while lounging outside in their extensive patio and pavilion. They have rotating food trucks featuring menus from burgers and fries to Filipino cuisine. Taking a first date there? They have plenty of board games to keep the conversation flowing! We love hosting our Singles Fest there every year!

  • Capital Cooks, Colonie, New York

The first few dates can be intimidating, which is why we love sending couples to Capital Cooks! This cooking school in Colonie offers weekday and weekend classes from pasta making to complicated baking. This is a great way to show off your (or lack of) cooking skills as you follow along with their seasoned professionals.

  • River Street Market, Troy, New York

Picking a restaurant to go to can be a pain when trying to navigate around dietary restrictions and preferences. This is why we love River Street Market in Troy! There is something for everyone in this upscale food court from hummus bowls to tacos to burgers. We love hosting our monthly singles happy hour there and stopping by Trivia Thursdays! Pro tip: if the weather is nice, after enjoying a meal there, take a stroll along the waterfront in downtown Troy.

  • Washington Park, Albany, New York

Pack a picnic and head to one of the oldest parks in the Capital Region! The 81-acre park was created in 1870s-80s by Calvert Vaux and Fredrick Olmsted, creator of New York City's Central Park. The park offers ten tennis courts, basketball courts, and a playground. In the summer, catch a free musical by Park Placehouse and walk to the nearby Ben and Jerry’s to enjoy a great scoop of ice cream.

  • UnBEETable Arcade, Schenectady, New York

This is one of our favorite newest spots in the Capital Region. UnBEETable Arcade in Schenectady features delicious vegan food, drinks, and an old-school arcade! Challenge your date to a round of Pac-Man or skeeball while digging into tater tots covered in vegan bacon, fried onions, vegan cheese, scallions, and banana peppers.
