Beige Flags

Beige flag is a term referring to a flag with a beige or yellowish color that is displayed by race marshals at various points around the circuit to indicate a hazard or danger ahead on the track. When a beige flag is shown, drivers are expected to be cautious, reduce their speed, and be prepared to take evasive action if necessary; the purpose is to alert drivers to potential dangers and help ensure the safety of everyone involved in the race. We are seeing the term come up in more and more chatter about relationships!

Beige flags are the relationship trend that has taken over TikTok. According to online dating coach Max Alley, a beige flag is a behavior that your boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse or anyone else exhibits that's kind of strange without quite crossing into hard pass territory. This could be anything from a love of Hawaiian print shirts (hem Love is Blind) to the way they put dishes in the dishwasher (silverware up or silverware down). 

Before you hit the breaks on a potential relationship when you see a beige flag, take a step back. Is this something you can move past? Will their love of Kenny G really take precedence over your connection? Will their obsession with all things Disney World bar your similar goals?
